Entertainments MeetingsEntertainments Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month from January to November at the: The December meeting is held on the second Tuesday of December at the same venue. We also aim to hold one Entertainments Meeting in a regional centre per year. This meeting is usually on a Saturday in late February. Details will be included in the Members Newsletter and on the Website. Meetings begin at 8.00pm with ARHS Sales operating from 7.30pm Supper is available for a charge of $1.00 at Interval. The Entertainments Committee attempts to organize a balanced program of speakers on Historical Items, Tourist Railways, key players from within the railway industry, Film nights and other rail associated topics. In addition we have a series of occasional short items, including, Items of interest from our Archives, Railway Trivia quizzes, Where and What is it?, News of current happenings, etc. We aim to extend this program as time progresses. We also conduct the monthly Photographic, Slide and Print Competitions at Entertainment Meetings Details of speakers and the topics for the slide and print competitions can be found in the members newsletter. Members and their partners from all Divisions of ARHS can attend for free, but visitors are requested to make a $5.00 donation.

We hold SWAP MEETS on a half yearly basis. The next being 21 August 2010. Now is not too early to start looking out all of your pre-loved railway items to offer for sale. The next is planned for 19 February 2011. We cannot take pre-bookings for these events, so look out for the brochures as they appear.
